The first AQHA show of the season is now underway with over 100 horses competing, horses moved in last night (Thursday) and this morning at 7 am competitors were getting ready for the first classes of the day (Trail) starting at 7.30 am. Sarah and Della Reed had a great time in Senior Trail picking up a 6th out of a big class. In the Western Pleasure classes on the first morning David riding John Parsons Addicted to Storyin was 3rd in a very tough Senior Pleasure class and Avril Wilson with her own Story of Smoke picked up a 4th in the Youth Western Pleasure. A great weekend is expected and we'll update the website after the show with SQH Team news.

Due to popular demand, we've added some reining clinic dates. Friday 18th July will be a SQH Reining Clinic and Friday 19th September will be a British Reining Clinic the day before the BR Championships.

Congratulations to Ruth O'Reilly the WES Area 9 Representative who organised a fabulous clinic and show at the weekend. With the clinic oversubscribed one lucky member was able to move from the waiting list onto the clinic due to a member having lorry trouble.
The Show was a great success with entries in some classes over over 18 competitors which necessitated go-arounds to get into the final of the class. Judge David Brindley thoroughly enjoyed the day and said that the standard was very good.
Well done Ruth for organising the weekend you should be very proud. It looks like this may become an annual event, so make a note in your diaries for 2009!
