Sovereign's annual Open Day has proved to be a popular event in the Western calendar. 2010's event attracted over 200 people to Horse Creek Farm on 11th April. The day is designed to showcase Western Riding and the American Quarter Horse in particular.
Upon arrival at Horse Creek Farm, guests were greeted by a parking monitor with a difference, Henry Deptford with Duke! Duke and Henry were very busy parking helping park over 100 vehicles during the day! All guests went home with a Western Horse UK Magazine donated by publisher Tally Wade.
If you were unable to make the day, you missed a great event with the stallion showcase and offspring, as well as demonstrations of different events. The Rhinestone/SQH Western Store had its official opening and proved to be very popular.
Our thanks to Camilla Calverley-Halford and Teeny, Amanda and Ashley and Duke Watts, Amanda Griffiths, Theresa Mark and Darla Luffman, Tracy and Nathan Haynes, Dorothy and Star Coleman, Avril Wilson with Smoke, Karen Shaw and Roxy, and Assistant Trainer Patrick Hopgood. Martin Pryke and his wife and daughters Emma and Jo, and Sarah and Amanda Tibbles were also a great help on this busy day. Nikki Calphas along with Jane, Sophie and Tom Mead were also a great help before and on the day, thank you.

Although we've had some pretty horrendous weather recently, we've been as busy as ever. As usual, the horses in training have continued to be worked, we are so lucky, we don't have to worry about our indoor arena flooding or freezing and it has stayed perfect throughout the festive winter weather we've experienced.
We'd like to wish everyone a wonderful christmas and new year and we look forward to seeing you all in 2010 if not before.

The Wednesday night clinics in 2009 proved to be so popular starting at the beginning of March and running through to June.
These Wednesday evening mini
clinics were aimed for people with their own horses who couldn’t get to us for
lessons
during the week and may have other commitments during the weekend.
These mini clinics started at 6pm and finished at 8pm and were limited to 5
people ONLY in 2010 the charge per session will be at £47.50 per horse and rider.
Payment for the clinic was required in advance and no booking
was confirmed without payment and completed booking form. If in the event you were unable to attend the
clinic, the money was only refundable if a replacement is found to fill your space.
Do you want these clinics to run again in 2010?
