Sue Boyden & Award Me A Hobby TX Challenge Champions for 2009

The third show in the 2009 SQH TX Challenge held on Sunday 11th October proved yet another great success.  Sue Boyden with Award Me A Hobby won the weeks holiday to the famous TX Ranch on the Wyoming/Montana border in the USA.  The same ranch where Jamie Oliver filmed his recent episode of "Jamie's American Road Trip".

Snippers Champions
The 2009 Breed Show was a huge success for the Sovereign Team.  As well as Jays Smokin Story offspring dominating the results.  Snippers Heirogance offspring covered themselves in glory as well.

Helen and Jeremy Smith's yearling gelding by Snipper, Heir Commander stood Reserve Grand Champion in Open Halter.

Dorothy Coleman's three year old mare, who earned her Open Halter Register of Merit in 2009, Snippnbelles Star was 3rd in the Blue Profile Western Pleasure Futurity, and then won her strong three year old mares class in halter.


 
Jay Offspring Reign Supreme at Breed Show
In 2006 Snippers Mito Bella stood AQHA UK Supreme Champion at the Breed Show and Jays Smokin Story stood Reserve Supreme Champion.

In 2008 A Snip of a Jay stood AQHA UK Supreme Champion.

in 2009 Ruth O'Reilly's home bred two year old gelding Poppet Smoked A Jay, "Ossie" to his friends shown by David, stood Supreme Champion, and Tracy Haynes' two year old filly, Jays Centrefold again shown by David stood  Reserve Supreme Champion.

David Teideman's Jays Dene, a 6 year old mare out of a Sovereign bred broodmare and by our own Jays Smokin Story, stood Grand Champion in show one.

Just goes to prove the excellence of Sovereign's 25 year old breeding programme.  Good mares, excellent stallions make Champions.....


Other Jay Offspring that covered themselves in glory at the Breed Show were Smoke A Lani, Pauline Farrington's exquisite three year old mare, who placed really well in several classes.

Avril Wilson with Story of Smoke who won several Novice Youth Classes.

Nigel Crowe with A Snip of a Jay the 2008 Supreme Halter Champion who again won halter classes and also won a very competitive Amateur Western Pleasure class

David Deptford riding Hollie Wright's Jays Hot Shot Story himself a previous Grand Champion gelding impressed in the AQHA reining competitions.

David Gains UKCC/EQL Level 3 Certificate in Coaching
We are pleased to announce that David has become one of a very small group of instructors and coaches in the UK to achieve his UKCC/EQL Level 3 Certificate in Coaching. The UK Coaching Certificate came out of a review of coaching and coaching qualifications within all major sports across the UK. The BEF is endorsed to deliver (in partnership with the member bodies, including British Reining) at UKCC Levels 1, 2 and 3 and equestrian is a priority sport being supported to implement the UKCC.
