News From SQH
Well, we're only a couple of weeks away from the Open Day which is going to be our biggest yet, before that we've got our Unaffiliated Dressage competition on 27th March.

We're all looking forward to seeing you on the 5th April, if not before, you'll be able to see that we've been busy over the winter months, moving forward with the facilities (and we're not finished yet!)  We're also of course looking forward to the show season, we've got some nice horses to show this year, and of course a fantastic bunch of clients.

We're in the process of finalising the programme for the Open Day which will be available to download from this site prior to the day so you can see what's happening and a rough idea of when.  We've noticed there seems to be an incredible amount of interest as to whether David will be wearing Jodphurs for the dressage/reining demo lecture with Paul Hayler!  We couldn't possibly comment!  You'll just have to come to the Open Day to see!

Busy Clinic Weekend

This weekend (15th and 16th March) has been really busy with two clinics running.  On Saturday we ran our popular Halter Prep Clinic with a great crowd of horses, handlers and spectators (we did 28 lunches!)   David and Sarah worked with everyone givng them top tips on both handling your horse in the halter pen, but also how to turn it out to a high standard.  With discount vouchers from Tailgator (www.tailgator.co.uk) and rosettes for all horses (well, we're getting them ready for the rosettes they'll win during the show season) everyone really enjoyed themselves.

On Sunday, there was no rest as we held our general clinic with again a good number of horses and riders attending the day.

Snipper's Likeness
Today we received through the post a wonderful pencil drawing of Snipper drawn by a talented young lady, Sophie Burton from Caterham in Surrey.  Sophie had seen the Western article in Horse & Rider magazine and has drawn this incredible likeness of him taken from one of the photos in the article.  Sophie, if you are reading this, we love it and you are very talented, and we've uploaded it so you can see how good she is.  Thank you.

Horse & Rider Feature
Have you seen the latest issue of Horse & Rider?  David and Snipper feature in a two part feature in western riding.
