Free Walk On A Long Rein.... 20 Metre Circles at Working Trot, Jodphurs and Jackets.... We're introducing a SQH Dressage Championship Series in 2008. With Prelim and Novice Classes starting in February and running monthly on a Thursday (dates will be posted on the website very shortly), the first two (with over 58%) from each class will qualify for the Championship which will be held in August, once one horse and rider are qualified, the qualification goes down the line. We'll also be holding a Winter League for 2008/09. We're just in the process of finalising the Judges, the dates and the qualification process and sponsor, so keep checking back for more details. Don't worry there will be a special prize for the most successful American Quarter Horse! Keep checking back for dates and details....

The Helpful Horse Group was set up a few years ago
with the aim of helping people who have suffered mental ill-health to move
further along the road to recovery. They use the deep empathy of horses to
empower people, to give them respite from their problems, and to guide them into
positive ways of thinking. Every week they meet to do something with horses;
grooming, riding, ploughing, observing, and always learning.

Both David and Sarah were very privileged to be asked to teach at the IQHA 2007 Clinic held at the Five Oaks Ranch, Ballyshannon, Co, Donegal, Ireland.
The day started with basic western riding skills and advanced from
there and both David and Sarah worked thoroughly enjoyed the day and meeting everyone. Both
participants and spectators found the day very informative.

It’s nearly Christmas and that means Spring is just around
the corner! As you may know, we periodically send out emails to our registered
users to let you know what’s happening here at Sovereign and Horse Creek Farm. To be honest, there is such a lot to report
on, it is just far too much to put in an email, so we’ve put on the website the
first issue of our SQH Online Newsletter which gives details of forthcoming
events. This will be the first of a tri-monthly online publication available for download and in the next
issue we’ll have more news, tips and articles. Click on the below link to download the SQH Online Newsletter
