We had a blast today! Loads of horses and spectactors came to Horse Creek Farm to support the SQH Challenge Winter League Show 1. Prize and rosettes for all and lots of happy smiley faces.
Have you seen our SQH Challenge Shows Facebook Page? We updated the page during the show with photographs of winners and results, we've also included a video clip of our SQH WJ Trail Mexican Wave - it's well worth seeing!
Highpoint winners for this show were: Victoria Rooke with Smokin Smart Jay - Youth and Sandra Groome with Montana Minstrel for the Adults.
Don't forget this is the first of a series of three shows making up the winter league. There is an adult and youth high point at each show, and an overall Youth, Adult and Paint Horse Highpoint (kindly sponsored by UKPHA) with points collated from all three shows.
6th February, 6th March and 17th April.
We hope to see you in March for our "getting ready for Easter Show"!
Schedule and online booking will be available from this site within the next week or so.

and encouragement never fades. This time last year we had just bought Danny

the opportunity to attend it, Sophie has grown in confidence with all
your support. Huge thanks to Lindsay for making these shows happen. How do you do
it? always with a smile. You are all so great. Thank you. Jane and Sophie

15th August saw the second of our SQH Challenge Summer Series Shows. Over 40 horses attended to compete in a wide range of classes for all breeds of horses, and all abilities judged by Alan Payne, ably assisted by his wife Sally as ring steward. David was let loose with the microphone (which is not always a good idea) before the wonderful Camilla Calverley-Halford wrestled the microphone from Mr Deptford and proceeded to announce the classes with great aplomb.

The SQH Challenge Show on 30th May proved to be a record breaking show. Following on from the popular and very successful three day Westernscene Summer Camp, additional horses hauled in for another of the popular SQH Shows.
Over 50 horses on site with 192 runs, with the
largest class a record breaking 36 classes had prizes down to 6th place in most classes. Class winners took home winners flowers, and as usual there was plenty of chocolate! Judge Megan Roughley was amazed at the popularity of the SQH Shows. These shows are aimed at all breeds of horses. If they wear western tack, we've got classes for all. Most importantly these shows are meant to be FUN!
High Point winners at this show won Sovereign Rugs, along with winners sashes. This show is one of three shows being held over the summer with the others being held in August and October. Keep checking the website for schedules and online entries.
The UK PHA generously sponsored special awards to all Paint Horses who attended the show, and these were presented to Linda Mott, Lucy Adams and Tracey Eaton. Well done.
