Q: What is a Quarter Horse?
A: American Quarter Horse.  A breed of horse, that originally comes from the United States.  The AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association) is the largest breed registry in the world.    The American Quarter Horse is most usually used for Western riding, but is equally at home under English tack.  A Quarter Horse usually stands from 14 hh to around 15.3 hh, but can be larger, or smaller.  These horses tend to be pretty headed and muscular.  They are very clever, nimble and athletic yet remain sane, calm and sensible.  They are also very easy keepers.
