We may not be in the "Wild West", but here at Sovereign Quarter Horses, we can give you the Best British equivalent!
Fancy a bit of western riding on our fully trained American Quarter Horses?
A bite to eat, not around a camp fire but in our brand new, comfortable and cosy cafe, with huge plasma screen to watch Western videos and DVD's whilst you eat - although in the summer we've been known to crank up the Barbie and throw on some steak for that authentic Western meal! Fancy a tying a knot and having a go at roping (static objects), unless we can convince someone to run around whilst you attempt to throw a lariat loop at them. How about a trail ride out on the Fens (a certain level of experience required) We offer "Introduction To Western Riding Days", which make a perfect gift for those people who are hard to buy for. Experience isn't necessary, we offer riding lessons for all abilities from the compete beginner to the more experienced rider on our own specially trained American Quarter Horses. We can cater your day to your own level of experience and make it fun! We'll even give you a framed photo of riding western as a keepsake. These days are also a great idea for Corporate Days, as we are able to tailor the day to include team building exercises, with a lot of fun! David and Sarah Deptford's informative and kindly teaching styles coupled with staff here who have experience in facilitating tailor made training courses for large multi-national companies mean we can offer you the whole package!
The Venue
All our Introduction to Western Days are held in our new quality, purpose built indoor and outdoor arena. We are a licensed riding establishment with the Cambridgeshire County Council and fully covered by public liability insurance so whatever your level of riding, you can be sure you are in good hands.
Your Instructor
David Deptford has been teaching all levels of riders for many years and is unfailingly patient and knowledgeable. He is foremost an educator, of both you and your horse, whether you are new to riding and want to learn the basics for a Ranch Holiday, or with a view to eventually having your own horse.
We always teach in a friendly, natural and educational way. No shouting, no stress! We aim to make your day an enjoyable experience and teach in the western way.
For prices and to discuss your requirements and book your Introduction to Western Day, you can contact us either by email or telephone.
