We had the most fabulous fun. 12 horses and riders attended our Christmas Clinic, with numerous spectators.
Everyone had been told that there had to be tinsel somewhere about
their person, Michael McCoy in particular looked very festive with his
chaps festooned in silver tinsel - somewhere, someone even had bells,
so we had proper jingle bells! We all worked hard in the morning
before sitting down to a scrumptious Christmas dinner, roast turkey and
all the trimmings, with mince pies for pudding. Well done to Sarah,
Jackie and Miss Ellie for such wonderful food. There were around 35
plus sitting down for lunch as we'd invited along a lot of friends to
help us celebrate Christmas a little early and the cafe complete with
decorations and real Christmas tree really set the scene. After such
a great lunch, and a lot heavier after the food, the sweets, and the
Thorntons chocolate lollys provided by Carol and Fudge, it was back
into the arena for mock trail and horsemanship classes, competing for
money - chocolate money - and our special Christmas Clinic rosette. To
everyone who attended, thank you for making it such a special day and
for dressing up.
