Win A Holiday At the TX Ranch.

Sovereign Quarter Horses and Horse Creek Farm are delighted to announce that the TX Ranch in Montana, USA, one of the most authentic western ranches in the US will be sponsoring the SQH TX Challenge Shows for 2009.

The highpoint winner over the three SQH TX Challenge shows:  Sunday 31st May, Sunday 23rd August and Sunday 11th October will win a weeks holiday (flights and transfers not included) during May 2010.

The SQH TX Challenge shows are open to all types of horses and all abilities of riders, with additional walk jog classes in Trail, Horsemanship, and Pleasure and all patterns are posted in advance on the Sovereign website.

The Shows were extremely popular during 2008 with the SQH TX Challenge Hi Point running right down to the last two classes, with Rebecca Carrington and Eloquent Emma, Penny Pendle with Shocka Zip Em and Sandra Groom with Montana Minstrel all competing for the one weeks holiday. With just the Reining and Barrel Racing to go, Rebecca and Penny were joint leaders, Penny gamely entered the Novice and Amateur Reining with Shocka Zip Em actually putting in a good performance, his first  ever reining pattern.  After the Novice Reining, Penny held a two point lead over Rebecca, after the Amateur Reining, they were back level pegging, then Rebecca's 2nd in the Open Reining and 1st in the Open Barrel Race after a run off clinched the holiday for her.

As a bonus to the 2008 winner, apparently Jamie Oliver will be filming at the TX Ranch in early spring this year, so you never know, they may be part of his next TV series!
