When David and Sarah bought Jays Smokin Story over from the US, they loved his conformation, nature and his versatility.  Jay has represented Great Britain in the Reining Arena, and has also competed in Trail, and won Hunter Under Saddle classes.  He is one of David's horses of choice for demonstrations, he's been on TV, spent hours having muscles and skeletons painted on him, and he doesn't bat an eyelid.  He is a fabulous horse to be around.  However, as a breeding stallion he is the best....

Following in Snipper and his offsprings hoofprints, Jay and his babies had a lot of live up to.  Jay, as a sire of show ring quality Quarter Horses, he is proving to be phenomenal.  

In 2009 his son, A Snip of a Jay having won the prestigious AQHA UK Supreme Halter Championship in 2008, has been used by the AQHA UK as their "Poster Horse" for their literature.  "Homer" is the horse on the new AQHA UK membership leaflets, he is also the horse on the AQHA UK Breed Show, Championships and Blue Profile Futurity adverts in the AQHA UK Journal.

Jays Centrefold, a two year old mare owned by Tracy Haynes, has been racking up the Reserve and Grand Championships in Halter this year.  At the Fenland Show, "Angel" was Grand Champion Mare four times!

Poppet Smoked A Jay, a two year old gelding, owned by Ruth O'Reilly, started his showing career at the East Coast Quarter Horse Show in June, winning his classes.  At the Fenland Show, he was the Grand Champion Gelding - again, four times!

Jays Dene, a 6 year old brown/black mare owned by David Teideman, and ridden by Tanya Rowe, has been for some time winning Reserve All Around and All Around Titles at AQHA Show, as well as picking up those sought after purple halter championship rosettes.

Youth Rider, Avril Wilson riding her 5 year old gelding "Story of Smoke" has been winning and placing in the AQHA Youth classes in 2009.   Smoke is typical of a Jay Baby, we started him, and then as a 3 year old, Avril rode him in a Novice Youth Western Pleasure class earning their first, 1st place in their first ever show.   Avril has then, with the help of David done most of the work with Smoke herself.

Smokin Dixie Chick, a three year old sorrel mare owned by Dwight and Alison Burden has been placing well in the junior western pleasure classes ridden by Andrew Plant.

Jays Award owned by Joanne Wilde, out of our own Senful Lena and by Jays Smokin Story is showing great promise as a reiner.




Whatever you want to do with your "Jay" horse, you just know they are going to be great....
