Fenland Show Results
The Fenland show held 4-6th June was an overwhelming success, with a great atmosphere, fabulous weather and great competition.   Day one saw Sarah Deptford with Hannah Bernstein win a top class Junior Trail class, following up this win with a win in the Junior Hunter Under Saddle, Hannah is one of Sarah's favourites, an easy going talented mare, who would make a great Novice Amateur or Amateur show horse.  David and Sarah's daughter Amy sat on Hannah for the first time ever for 15 minutes before taking her into a Nov Am western pleasure class in show two!

Both David and Pat had a good show, with David riding Blazin Chic Olena  and Pat on a home bred youngster, Just Another Jay owned by Karen Shaw.  We're not only breeding them, but we're training them too..    David had a great run on Dorothy Coleman's Snipper daughter Snippnbelles Star in the Junior Western Pleasure picking up a second place in a tough class, and earning "Star's" first performance points of the year.

Sovereign Quarter Horses dominated the halter classes at this show.  The secret to breeding a great horse that can do anything and everything is conformation, and the halter classes proved that Sovereign breed great horses.  Ruth O'Reilly's Poppet Smoked a Jay stood Open Grand Champion gelding both days, with Sovereign Secretary, Lindsay Doel's LJ Classic Luke standing Open Reserve Grand Champion and Amateur Grand Champion Gelding both days.

In the mare division, Tracy Haynes Jays Centrefold won her class, and Dorothy Coleman's  Snippnbelles Star placed well.  Joyce Markham's Heir to a Cady went Reserve Grand Champion at the show behind the versatile mare Jays Dene (by Jays Smokin Story, out of a mare bred here at Sovereign Quarter Horses) owned by David and Jackie Teideman.

We had a great show, and are looking forward to the next one!
