2010 AQHA UK Breed Show
The 2010 AQHA UK Breed show held at Horse Creek Farm proved to be a great success for SQH bred horses, clients and the team themselves.
The Halter classes were dominated by Sovereign horses.  David with Blazin Chic Olena won the Supreme Open Halter Horse Championship.  This is the third year in a row that David has lead the Supreme horse to Victory.

Ruth O'Reilly's Poppett Smoked A Jay won all his classes and was Reserve Grand Champion under Show One Judge and Grand Champion under Show Two Judge.   "Ossie" also qualified for the Supreme championship and was 2nd reserve winning another belt buckle for Ruth O'Reilly.

SQH Secretary Lindsay Doel's 10 year old gelding LJ Classic Luke won all his halter classes and swopped with "Ossie" for the Grands and Reserves, going Grand under Show One Judge and Reserve under Show Two.  The smile on Lindsay's face said it all!

Also in the Geldings classes, Cashtastic (by Sean Dillon showed well in the three year old classes, and Lee Mitchell and Colleen Gates had a good show with their "Stop That Jay", a four year old Jays Smokin Story gelding who has gone grand several times this year.  Pat also showed Linda Joyne's gelding Classie Jay in Halter, as well as riding Linda's Chief In Command in the Green Pleasure picking up some good placings.

In the mares classes.  Client John Norton showed his own Docs My Delight to a 2nd and 1st place.  Tracey Haynes' three year old Jays Centrefold who is racking up performance points these days, also showed well in halter, along with Amanda McIntyre showing her Jays Smokin Story three year old mare Reminics Story.

In the Aged mares, SQH mares dominated with Pauline Farringtons all around mare Smoke A Lani doing well, as did David and Jackie Teideman's Jays Dene, both by Jay.  The Snippers also showed their competitive edge with Joyce Markham's Heir to a Cady and full sister Snippnbelles Star owned by Dorothy Coleman both did well, picking up reserve championships.

Star, with Sarah Deptford also made her Trail debut this weekend and won the Blue Profile Trail Futurity.

Toni Hardesty aboard her Snipper son Muy Poco Dene won the AQHA UK Amateur HuS Championship.

David and Sarah's daughter Amy also showned our own lovely Hannah Bernstein in the Nov Am Western Pleasure earning a top three place, she then changed disciplines riding our own Nu Smoke N Chex to a top three place in the reining.

We should also mention Karen Shaw on her Just Another Jay, who had a good run in some reining classes, a combination to look at in the future, and Jacqui Phillips riding the Snipper daughter Poppy Te Heir had some good placings at her first AQHA show.

Avril Wilson on Story of Smoke continued to dominate the Youth classes and Mike and Jane Roberts on their homebred Sean Dillon offpspring Seans Little Te Boy and Miss Poppy Freckles SD had great fun at the show.  As did Camilla Calverley-Halford and Wranglers Teeny Lena.

David had a win on both Blazin Chic Olena and SES Chics Playgirl owned by Cheryl Hewson in the reining events and Sarah aboard Chex Out This Action also featured heavily in the placings.

All in all we had a great show and would like to congratulate all the competitors, you made it a great show.
