Here at Sovereign Quarter Horses, we want to introduce as many people to Western Riding and the American Quarter and Paint Horses as possible and make people realise what wonderful horses these western horses are. One of the best ways to promote the breeds and western riding in general - and to prove to people that it is actually a very skillful way of riding instead of the general "yeehaa" perception that many people have - is to give demonstrations with our horses. Many organisers of large events ask us to come to their events and promote Western Riding and the Quarter and Paint Horses to the general public.
With this in mind, we have for many years been invited to take our horses to international, county and local shows, country fairs, exhibitions and celebrations of the horse and put on interesting and informative demonstrations of what these horses can do. These demonstrations can be real crowd pleasers (especially with the bridleless displays!) and the feedback from organisers and visitors has always been extremely positive.
Recently, we were honoured to be invited to take Jays Smokin Story and give a demonstration of reining at the Al Maktoum Challenge horse show in Dubai.
Bearing in mind that Western riding is undergoing a huge upsurge of interest at the moment, due to Reining now becoming an FEI event, and on the short list for possible inclusion in the Olympics, if you have an event and are looking for a different kind of demonstration, one that is both informative, achievable, and exciting, please contact us
